Sending kids to Young Life camp in Mongolia

SENDING KIDS TO YOUNG LIFE CAMP IN MONGOLIA

THE NEED:

Kid issues include poverty, corruption, hunger, and lack of resources in natural disasters. Young people are caught in the middle of this crisis. They are looking for role models and seeking answers to their suffering and needs. Many turn to gangs or prostitution for survival.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Young Life reaches kids in Mongolia in the public school system. Mongolia is a secular, representative democracy bordering both China and Russia, and with a population of about 3.5 million people. Less than 2% are Christian. 35% are under the age of 18, making it a very young country. The youth of Mongolia are very responsive to the Gospel, with over 60% of kids at camp making a profession of faith in Jesus.

THE PLAN:

Mongolia has a dynamic camping ministry, but due to inflation post-COVID, the cost of camp has increased about 50%. 100% of this investment will help send kids in Mongolia to camp to experience the amazing love of God through the radical hospitality of Young Life.

THE NEED: $10,000

We plan to have 500 kids attending camp this next summer. The cost to send a kid to camp in Mongolia is currently $189. This $10,000 gift would cover costs for 53 kids to get to camp. If 60% of these kids meet Christ, this gift would be directly tied to 32 kids having a new, eternal relationship with Jesus.
